The No. 1 contract was 43N at 50 West 66th Street, asking $23.25 million; it started marketing off of floorplans in the summer of 2022. That marked the 4th time this year that a unit in 50 West 66th Street has taken the No.1 spot in this report. The No. 2 contract was the 6th floor at 944 Fifth Avenue, asking $17.75 million, reduced from $19.75 million when it was listed in April. The co-op was sold by the estate of Barbara Walters, the legendary TV journalist who died in December 2022. The unit has 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, and 10-foot ceilings. The living room with a fireplace, library, and master bedroom with a fireplace face Central Park. The maintenance is $19,423. The co-op board allows 33% financing, and amenities include a doorman and gym.
